Today’s world is immersed in the trade and use of narcotics. Drugs destroy lives and communities, undermine sustainable human development and generate crime. Drugs affect all sectors of society in all countries; in particular, drug abuse affects the freedom and development of young people, the world's most valuable asset. Drugs are a grave threat to the health and well-being of all mankind, the independence of States, democracy, the stability of nations, the structure of all societies, and the dignity and hope of millions of people and their families.

(Excerpt from the United Nations Political Declaration on Drugs)

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Although mankind already has the understanding regarding the social impact of drugs, it still lacks the knowledge about the spiritual consequences of it.  In this sense, the United States Spiritist Council is proud to do its part in making available to the English speaking public, the book “Diary of a Drug Addict”.

Diary of a Drug Addict

This book tells the story of the Spirit Andre K, who in 1995, was given permission to
tell his story, after undergoing years of recovery treatment in the Spirit realm, which included participating in a weekly seance meeting held by a group of incarnate mediums. In this group, through the medium Gorete Newton, he described
his tragic death by drug overdose, which took place in 1975, while he was still
a teenager living in Zurich, Switzerland. It is a richly descriptive narrative
for parents, children and society, offering a glimpse of the afterlife
consequences resulting from drug consumption.
